Many of us admire different Disney characters from the sensational six (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy) to the princesses and many more. But this post will only focus on characters that are not human.

Below are the top picks for my favorite non-human Disney characters and why I like them:

1: Simba – The Lion King

Simba is cute, determined, and clever. He also has a lot of confidence and values autonomy, as expressed in his hit song, “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.”

Those are the reasons why I admire him so much. His passion for being in control is something I can highly relate to.

2: Scuttle – The Little Mermaid

Scuttle the seagull is friendly, but also clueless and not exactly the brightest. One of the reasons I like him is because he is so much nicer to Ariel than her own father is. I also admire his assumptions of human artifacts, such as a fork being a dinglehopper that people comb their hair with.

3: Olaf – Frozen

Olaf was originally a fake snowman that Elsa made as a young child. Then many years later, Elsa actually conjures him as a living being.

What I love about Olaf is that he’s silly, naïve, bubbly, and not too bright—but in a funny way. He’s also caring and concerning about Anna when Elsa accidentally hits her heart with her ice powers.

4: Stitch – Lilo & Stitch

Originally called Experiment 626, Stitch goes to Earth and befriends a lonely little girl named Lilo. Although he’s monstrous at first, he has a caring heart, can develop speech, and can be creative.

I even found it funny when he pretended to be a monster in Lilo’s toy city.

5: Baloo – The Jungle Book

When he first meets this feral boy, Mowgli, he doesn’t exactly get along with him. But shortly after, he and Mowgli become close friends. Baloo even acts as a father figure for Mowgli at times.

His morals as expressed in the song, “Bare Necessities,” sense of humor, and heartwarming bond with Mowgli are all admirable traits.

6: Goofy

Goofy is silly, enthusiastic, and can be a buffoon. But he cares deeply about his friends. More importantly, he cares a lot about his son, Max, even if he unintentionally embarrasses him.

His voice, positive attitude, and signature laugh are also strong features that make me like him.

Conclusion:

This post may be kind of short. But you likely saw what traits I greatly admire in characters. That is why these guys made my top picks.
