The film begins with a dream that Butt-Head is having, where he and Beavis are giants in a city. Beavis wakes Butt-Head to tell him that the TV is missing. The two go outside to look for their television.

First, they attempt to take the TV from their school. But their teacher, Mr. Van Driessen, kindly tells them that that television belongs to the school. They accidentally break it. Principal McVicker then expels them.

Later, Beavis and Butt-Head run into a man, Muddy Grimes, in a motel room. He mistakes them as two hitmen that he hired. So, he offers them $10,000 to “do” his wife. Thinking he means it and can afford a new TV, Beavis and Butt-Head accept the deal.

They fly on a plane to Las Vegas, where Muddy’s wife, Dallas, is. She offers them $20,000 to “do” Muddy, which they refuse.

At some point, Dallas puts an X-5 unit in Beavis’s shorts. Then she tells them to meet her at the Capitol in Washington D.C.

Beavis and Butt-Head board a senior bus that takes them on tours across the country. They stop at Hoover Dam and mess with a computer system, assuming that they are trying to watch TV. This causes a major flood. Not only that, it also convinces Agent Flemming that Beavis and Butthead are criminals. He places them on the FBI’s most wanted list.

At Yellowstone National Park, Beavis and Butt-Head mess around in the bathroom. They miss their bus and accidentally get on a bus filled with nuns. They even stop at a church, where the boys misuse the confession rooms as bathrooms.

Meanwhile, back at the motel in Beavis and Butt-Head’s town, Highland, Muddy meets the actual hitmen. Angry, he goes on a road trip to kill Beavis and Butt-Head.

Beavis and Butt-Head get lost in the desert and pass out due to dehydration. They then experience hallucinations.

Muddy finds the boys and forces them into the trunk of his car. Butt-Head jumps out, which causes several accidents on the road, causing a pileup. He and Beavis then casually return to the senior tour bus they were on before.

They make it to Washington D.C. But the stakes are getting higher.

This movie made me laugh a lot. I cannot keep track of how many times I cracked up.

Examples include:

  • The dream at the beginning of the film
  • When Beavis and Butt-Head ran into the principal in a different room at the same motel, and he told them to go away
  • When Butt-Head wanted to quickly watch TV in Muddy’s motel room, but he shot the television and said, “No!”
  • When Beavis took a bunch of pills from a nice old lady and started acting strangely

The characters remained true to themselves as they are in the TV series. The animation style also feels nostalgic. Even though I was too young to watch Beavis and Butt-Head when it aired on TV in the 90s (I was born in 1993), I did watch other 2D-animated shows and movies as a kid.

Even though this movie is rated PG-13, it is more on the raunchy side due to the heavy use of drugs and sexual content. If any young teen is going to watch it, I think they should be very mature for their age.

Overall, I enjoyed Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. It is funny and adventurous at the same time.

I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.
