Teenage twin girls, Charli and Leila hunter, wake up in the hotel room they are staying at in Rome. They are aware that they have an internship to attend.

Simultaneously, this Japanese American boy named Nobu tries to get his roommate to wake up. He even flicks off his blanket, exposing his boxers.

Later, all the interns meet downstairs with their director, Jamie. The interns include the Hunter twins, Nobu, a German girl named Heidi, an Italian boy named Paolo, and an Italian girl named Dari.

Jamie takes them to a restaurant where they meet their boss, Mr. Tortoni.

Everyone is hungry, though. The Hunter girls ask for orange juice and other breakfast items. Luckily, Mr. Tortoni gives the interns food.

After that, he gives them all tasks to complete. Unfortunately, except for Heidi, the others do a bad job. Mr. Tortoni decides on different ways to fix this. Ultimately, he decides to fire everyone except Heidi.

Now, the Hunter twins have to find somebody else to work for. Luckily, a man named Derek Hammond rehires them.

There is a lot they discover about working for him – both good and bad. What will this lead to for them?

Even though I generally enjoy movies starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, this one did not please me as much as I hoped. Yes, it had mostly positive reviews by others. But for some reason, it failed to engage me a lot.

I will say the concept was still strong. And I do think Mr. Tortini was overall a good guy. I particularly admired how he provided his interns food before giving them tasks to do.

I also appreciate the idea of an international cast. It shows representation from different parts of the world.

The Olsen twins’ characters were still likable, too. Like in other movies they were in, their characters had flaws and romantic interests.

I also liked the Roman setting. I love seeing the city and especially the Colosseum. I’ve actually been to Rome before.

Otherwise, this movie, When in Rome was just okay. Note that if you are interested in watching this, it is, unfortunately, not on any major streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu.

I watched this on a third party site called lookmovie2(dot)la. If you search on Google, “watch When in Rome 2002 online free,” the site I mentioned should be at the top of the search results. Maybe, you will enjoy it.

But me? I give this film 3 out of 5 stars.
