Many movies and shows have theme songs or openings. Lesser-known films might have smaller theme tunes, while famous and popular ones have bigger themes.

Below is a list of movie theme tunes that are most memorable for me. However, rather than stating the reason for each one, I will summarize the reasons after the list.

That is because none of these music pieces have lyrics. And just tunes themselves are bit hard for me to describe specifically.

3: Jurassic Park – 1993

4: Pirates of the Caribbean – 2003 – 2017

5: Indiana Jones – 1981 – 2023

6: Star Wars – 1977 – present

7: Wallace & Gromit – 1989 – present

8: 20th Century Fox

Some of these themes are intriguing because they promised suspense, action, or adventure. Some are nice because they promote fun or humor.

And if you noticed, I included 20th Century Fox. Yes, it is not a movie. But its theme opening does promise fun and excitement.

And I believe that is super important when it comes to theme music. Notice how all the movies I listed were major box office successes, or at least popular?

Yes, the biggest reasons were often unrelated to the theme music. But it is likely that many other people liked the theme tunes, as well.

Not surprisingly, a high number of the movie theme tunes on that list were written by famous composer John Williams. He wrote the themes to Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park,and Indiana Jones. And he has won 27 awards for his music for different films.

No wonder these theme tunes are very memorable. I also like them a lot. And that includes those like Star Wars, which I am not even a fan of at all. But I don’t hate it, either.
