Many of us have seen this film, based on the book by Lewis Carroll. A young girl goes down a rabbit hole and discovers a strange new world.
As you can see, I have some favorite moments from this movie. And they are listed below:
1: When Alice met Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum
While following the white rabbit, Alice runs into these men who make silly honking noises. Their names are Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.
After they introduce themselves, Alice continues to follow the white rabbit. But Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum want her to stay. Then they tell her a story about the curious oysters.
I admire this scene because I find Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum’s honks funny and their interaction with Alice interesting.
2: When she got very big but still said she was a little girl
Throughout the movie, Alice eats or drinks anything that tells her to. As a result, she either gets bigger or smaller.
At some point, she eats something that makes her giant. One of the creatures thinks she’s a weed. But she corrects them and says she’s a little girl. And she gets laughed at for saying, “Little.”
The fact that the character laughed makes this scene memorable. Of course, it’s never okay to laugh at anyone for any reason. But in this case, it was kind of funny.
3: “The Golden Afternoon” number
After Alice meets a bunch of large, talking flowers, they decide to sing about themselves. So, they choose “The Golden Afternoon.”
The melody is nice and everything mentioned is fun to learn – especially the caterpillars with dog and cat faces. Alice even gets a solo.
4: “Painting the Rose’s Red” number
Later in the film, Alice approaches some card men painting some white roses red and singing the song listed above. They planted white roses by accident and know the queen wants red roses.
Aside from the catchy tune, the idea of painting roses red is kind of creative. Yet paint will damage them. But then again, it’s a cartoon.
5: The Unbirthday Song
Alice ends up in a room where the Mad Hatter and the hare celebrate their unbirthday. That is a day that is not one’s birthday.
The tune is fun and the idea is peculiar, but still exciting.
Conclusion
So, there you have it. If you have some favorite moments from Alice in Wonderland, feel free to let me know in the comments.
